Interview with the filmmaker: Camila de Moraes
In today's episode, Afrocena interviewed the filmmaker, Camila de Moraes. She directed the documentary O Caso do Homem Errado (2017), the film talks about police violence and the genocide of the black population in Brazil, bringing the story of Julio Cesar, a man executed by the police in Porto Alegre in 1987. Camila is the second black woman to have a film on the commercial circuit in Brazilian cinemas. The first was Adélia Sampaio in 1986. We talk about her productions, when she started her career in cinema and about affirmative cinema.
