In this episode the Historian Amilcar Pereira, Doctoral Student in History at UFF – Universidade Federal Fluminense and Post-Doctor at Columbia University. His research has the theme "Brazilian black movement and circulation of references for the anti-racist struggle". This project is the result of a partnership between the Network of Black Historians and Black Historians with Cultne TV and Portal Geledés In each episode we will present excellent academic research produced by black historians on the most diverse topics that involve people of African descent in Brazil and in the world. Strengthening reflections aimed at overcoming racism in Brazil and democratizing knowledge through historical literacy practices. The project has a special interest in contributing to the process of implementing Law 10.639/two thousand and three, which made the teaching of African and Afro-Brazilian history and culture mandatory.
