The Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy of the State of Rio de Janeiro presents, through the Public Notice Traditional Peoples Present, Columbia University and Ilê Omolu Oxum: Memories and Knowledge, episode 04 – Ubuntu Ubuntu is an African philosophy that understands generosity, understanding and compassion towards your neighbor. It's when your happiness is only complete from the moment the other also achieves happiness. This feeling of social harmony is a legacy of the peoples of sub-Saharan Africa that permeates the resistance of the terreiro peoples in Brazil. The fourth episode of Memórias e Saberes was inspired by this feeling, based on the testimonials we present to you.
