This episode to Historian Alessandra Tavares, Doctor in History for UFRRJ and Graduated in History, presents her research "Mano Eloy: Worker, macumbeiro, Sambista Pioneiro das escolas de samba cariocas". This project is the result of a partnership between the Network of Black Historians and Black Historians with Cultne TV and the Geledés Portal In each episode we will present excellent academic research produced by black historians about two more diverse topics that involve people of African descent in Brazil and in the world. Strengthening reflections aimed at overcoming racism in Brazil and democratization of knowledge through practices of historical literacy. The project has a special interest in contributing to the implementation process of Law 10,639/of two thousand and three, which will require or teach African and Afro-Brazilian history and culture.
