Public school: history, pandemic and racism
Since March of this year, thousands of students have been without classes because of social isolation and protective measures against the new coronavirus. Education professionals warn that the pandemic can further increase inequalities, which reveals a consensus: the importance of public schools. In this episode, we talk about the history of the institution in Brazil, going through the main historical milestones to understand its origin, advances and challenges. The rescue is carried out with the participation of the doctor in Education, Rosa Fátima de Souza Chaloba. In the second part, we talk about anti-racist education with teachers Luan Gustavo, Caio César and Jéssica Lima.
