Memories of Festa Junina
The queen of today's popular parties is the one we no longer celebrate for the second year in a row, because of the new coronavirus pandemic: the June party. To kill the longing, we rescue some memories of this period and the famous gangs. And there's no way to talk about it without talking about the region that has the biggest parties in Santo Antônio, São João and São Pedro: the Northeast of Brazil. We talked to two dancers who were passionate about that time - the quadrilhas choreographer, from Paulista (PE), Williang José de Santana, and Mirelly Santana, from Entroncamento de Antas (BA). They will help us keep these memories alive that speak volumes about our history.
